Pasteurization Industry
AVGO SA Company was established in 1997 by brothers
Konstantinos and Theodore Theodoropoulos aiming at first, at
the supply of the Greek market with products of pasteurized
egg of high quality covering in total the demands of the
European Union on the production of healthy food that
Directive 89/437 instituted.
The company started its productive procedure in November
1999 at its own plant, of 1500 sq.m surface, which was built in
the industrial area in Larissa following an innovative design,
with fully demarcation departments, installed automatic
mechanical equipment in closed production circuit, electronic
operation of pasteurization gear and check on four points for
the reassurance of the desired temperature during the whole
procedure of pasteurization and recording in PLC, guarantying
the maximum safety in hygiene of the produced items, a fact
that makes it one of the most modern automated plants in
Europe.
With the aid of the avant-garde design and automatisms, the
plant, with a capacity of production of 13.000 kilos per 8-hour,
has the ability of immediate correspondence to the demand of
various products, maintaining quality in connection with
consistency and decreased delivery times.
Starting from the initial design, in the plant there have been
created, equipped and operating, separately in its area, a
microbiological laboratory and chemistry where there are
realized constant physicochemical tests on fresh eggs that are
used as feedstock as well as on produced items in order for the
measurements that are recorded to be in accordance with the
specifications that law prescribes.
The whole procedure of quality and hygiene of production
in the plant is totally in accordance with directive 89/437 of the
E.U. and certified by TUV Hellas.
